Bukoba is the capital and also a port town of Kagera region; it is an economic source of Kagera and neighborhood of the Lake Victoria. Geographically it lies just south of the equator line. It is located at the western shore of Lake Victoria, an important crossroad connection to Uganda at the North, Mwanza at the east, and Rwanda at the west and Kigoma region in the South. Bukoba is not a very busy town with exception of few businessmen from Mwanza who coming to pick Agricultural products basically Bananas. Day 1: BUKOBA – KANYIGO GUEST HOUSE.
After tour formalities in Bukoba town, set off to Kanyigo for two days tour with a divert to Kantare rain forest to appreciate Reptiles initially Black and Green mamba, Leopard tortoise, birds, primates and insects. Kantare forest is a natural with varieties of indigenous trees, some used as herbs and medicine. It is a short distance from Kantare forest to Mugana rock paintings of which paintings are similar to those seen at the central Tanzania (Kondoa Irangi) archeologists referred the paintings found in South Africa it was translated as it was the way of communication. Lunch box will be opened at Nyakijoga Shrine, before you get a brief from Nuns. This shrine is the second in the world .Roman catholic of all races are going there for retreat and pilgrimage. Continue to Kanyigo historical site for the history of kings who arrived from Uganda. Dinner and overnight in Kanyigo guest house.
Day 2: KANYIGO GUST HOUSE – BUKOBA TOWN.
Morning breakfast, followed by a journey to Kanyingo cave, the cave is said to be different to many caves in Kagera region for been elongated stone an umbrella-like shape, believed to be the shelter for rainfall and sun raises to farmers who did their activities nearby, lunch can be eaten at the cave. After lunch continues to Kashozi Roman Catholic church, which is believed to be existed for more than 130 years. The church is elderly homes for aged people with hospital. Also it is where the first African Roman Catholic cardinal Rugambwa was laid before to be cemented in Roman cathedral in Bukoba town.
4 DAYS /3 NIGHTS MISENYI TO KARAGWE.
Day 1: BUKOBA TO MISENYI.
After breakfast in Bukoba town hotels, collect lunch box leave to Minziro natural forest (150km),on the way appreciate Luasina swamp in Minziro rain forest observe more than 1000 indigenous tree species ,various Butterflies and birds. When you will reach there you leave the vehicle on the way you trek inside for primates including velvet monkeys, white and black colubus monkey, white checked monkey bush bucks, snakes and various insects. Proceed to Gera bark cloth industry (local).Ficus trees are chopped preferred to local people to make out fits which is haya’s traditional cloth. You can try to chop barks (option).You can open your lunch box here, followed by journey back Kyaka center where you will appreciate an old bridge and Kagera river which were boomed by Idd Amin Dada (the former Uganda president) soldiers during the war against Uganda 1978.Kyaka centre also was used as a slave Market distribution point in Lake zone by that time. Proceed to Kayanga guest house for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: KAYANGA TO BURIGI –CHATO NATIONAL PARK FULL DAY TOUR.
You start with delicious breakfast, prepared and served in Kayanga hotel. After breakfast, collect lunch box, then take off for Burigi – Chato national park, with frequent stops on the way for series view. Burigi –Chato national park is situated in the North western part of Tanzania in Kagera and Chato regions. It is covered by covered an area of 4,707km square. It has diversity of wildlife species including animals e.g. Elands, Elephants, Zebras, Leopards, Hippos e.c.t. Birds, (Marabou stork, Horn bills, Guineas falls, snakes and vegetation types. KAMACHUMU FULL DAY TOUR
After breakfast, collect lunch box, after that set off for a full day Kamachumu tour with divert to Kanazi village which referred as King’s palace, building 130 years old are still in site. There you will continue to climb a steep wall to reach inside the cave where flying mammals (Bats) also proclaiming to be their permanent homes. The cave has a free standing supported by two strong pillars which even today there is no exactly definition told. Packed lunch can be eaten in the cave. After lunch, ascend to your car to proceed to Lake Ikimba,through Magango hill which is believed to have a natural stone curved chair where King Kahigi sate when he was ruling. Lake Ikimba is the miracles lake as it believed that no one is allowed to swim in a lake only who comes from the crane of Ikimba, also there were no women allowed to be necked while entering in the lake. Prolong to Mugashe foot prints in Ikimba hills overlooking to Lake Ikimba.After Lake Ikimba, start journey back Bukoba while appreciating the meandering of Ngono river which does not sought consultancy with Lake Victoria, hence drop its water in swamps. Day 1: BUKOBA TO MWANZA CITY.
You will leave from Bukoba in the night at 9; 00pm by ferry for Mwanza city, where you arrive at early morning around 6:00am; there you will take your breakfast at Pizzeria Kuleana café.
Day 2: MWANZA TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.
After your delicious breakfast prepared and served at Pizzeria Kuleana café. Depart for Serengeti national park, two and a half hours on tarmac road will be enough to reach at Ndabaka entrance gate for lunch and entrance documentation, where you will have an opportunity to spot an Olive Baboon as they struggle to poach food from tourist who are there having they are lunch. After lunch, you proceed further in the park for a leisure game drive and divert to Gurumeti river which is famous for the giant Crocodiles who hunt the migrant during thirsty as they try to drink in the river. Enjoy your dinner and overnight at Seronera public campsite/ Lodge around Seronera area, and fall asleep to the good-humored calls of hyenas and Zebras.
Day 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK FULL DAY GAME DRIVES.
You will begin game drive in the central Serengeti early in the morning, and then back at public campsite/Lodge for late good breakfast, followed by a full day game viewing. The animal found in the Serengeti national park are enormously everywhere so visitors will likely spots of Lion, Buffalo, Leopard. Elephant, Cheetah, etc. Do not mind about the time of the year. Picnic lunch can be opened at any convenient picnic site in the bush. After the game drive, dinner and overnight will be at Seronera public campsite/Lodge on full board category.
Day 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO NGOROGORO CONSERVATION AREA AND CRATER.
This day is the last day of game drive in this unforgettable park, before you proceed to Ngorongoro conservation area. Ngorongoro area is the land of Maasai people, their cattle and fauna, it is a protected area in the rift valley, spectacular of the earth forest and Archaeological site from the wonderful land scape e.g. Olduvai (Olduvai ) Gorge-which lies between the great wildlife sanctuaries of Ngorongoro crater and the Serengeti national park. The Gorge has produced abundant remains of the first man kind (Zinjathropus Boisei).The historical finding of the famous skull, other fossils and stone artifacts has strengthened the belief that Africa has been the home to ore-historic man. You will enjoy your night and dinner at Ngorongoro Simba public campsite/ Lodge.
Day 5: NGORONGORO CRATER TO MANYARA NATIONAL PARK (MTO WA MBU).
After an early morning breakfast, you will wake up for Ngorongoro crater. Enjoy game drive in the crater, you may stop at a small lake within the crater, the lake is home of many Hippos and migratory birds, there is also a possibility to spot every member of the big five including the cruel Rhino. The crater is truly to be an astonishing place, it was formed over two millions of years ago, a volcano, although left unbroken wall known as caldera. In crater there are flocks of graceful Flamingo only in the soda lake. Hawks and Vultures circle on the sky searching their meal of surplus carcass, Storks and Cranes are common water birds in crater; Lunch will be at any small lake in the crater. After that proceed to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight at twiga/Migunga campsite or Wildlife lodge.
Day 1: NGORONGORO TO MANYARA NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast at Mto wa Mbu /Migungani campsite /Wildlife lodge, collect lunch box, followed by a journey to enter Manyara national park, which is located on the way to Arusha city, between the cliff of the Great Rift Valley and the Manyara lake. The park has varieties of habitats making it possible to support the health of wildlife in its small area. The main habitat includes rift valley, acacia woodland and area of open grassland. You will enjoy your lunch box at Maji moto (hot water) picnic site while appreciating the Manyara lake in this famous bush because of tree climbing lions which are occasionally spotted in tree branches, as well as thousand of Pelicans and Flamingo birds scramble in the lake to get food. There after proceed to the exit get for Tarangire national park. You will spend a night and dinner at to Tarangire lodge/Tarangire public campsite.
Day 2: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK FULL DAY GAME DRIVES.
Morning delicious breakfast, followed by full day game drive in Tarangire national park. The park is ling to the south of large open grass plain of the southern Maasai land, it is the sixth largest park in Tanzania.Tarangire national park is famous for its abundant of birdlife and visitors are frequently entertained by browsing of an Element which in habitat in large herds, huge brilliant of baobao tree add to the scenic splendors of this unique national park. Lunch will be at any compelling national park in the bush. After lunch continues to explore this park heading to exit gate, you will proceed to Arusha city soon after you egress. Dinner and sleeping will be in any hotel in Arusha.
Day 3; ARUSHA CITY TO ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK.
Today you will wake up late, since you were tired of long time game drive. Breakfast will be late, after hot breakfast, depart for Arusha city walk. Arusha city is in the Northern Tanzania and the capital of Arusha region, located below the Mount Meru on the edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley it is a temperate climate. The city is close to Ngorongoro conservation area, Olduvai Gorge, Lake Manyara national park, Tarangire national park, Arusha national park and Mount Kilimanjaro. Lunch, dinner and overnight will be in Arusha city.
(A) Day 4: ARUSHA CITY -ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
You will start your journey early in the morning heading off to the fascinating – and often overlooked Arusha national park. Drive to the rim of the Ngurudoto crater for one of the most spectacular sight, to watch bush buck, blue duicker , Elephant, water Buffalos, white and black colobus monkey and many bird species, this place for sure it is the best place for bird watchers. You will spend overnight in a camp close to the park, where you will relax and enjoy a delicious dinner under a sky ablaze with stars before you rest on bed.
(B) 3DAYS / 2 NIGHTS MOUNT MERU CLIMB.
Mount Meru is located in Arusha Tanzania only 40km away from the well known Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s the fifth highest mountain in Africa and second highest in Tanzania it is 4556m above sea level. Mount Meru it is a massive snow capped peak ground mountain, it provide unbelievable view of the mount Kilimanjaro and surrounding areas of the country side, it is a classic volcanic cone with spectacular horseshoes crater/ caldera. The trek to summit takes 3days with 2nights on the mountain. Accommodation will be either in tents or mountain huts.
Day 1: ARUSHA CITY TO MARIAKAMBA.
Drive for 1 hour to Momela gate for Arusha national park and Mount Meru climb formalities. After climb formalities, continue hiking for 10km or 4-5 hours to reach at Mariakambi for dinner and overnight in hut.
Day 2: MARIAKAMBI HUT TO SADDLE HUT.
Wake up with hot breakfast at Mariakambi hut. Depart for Saddle hut distance of 4km and time taken is 2 -3 hours at 3566 altitude . Dinner and overnight at Saddle hut.
Day 3; SADDLE HUT – MOMELA GATE.
Today, you will hike 14km (6hour) to reach at Momela exit gate, there you will take a short time for celebrating your winner to climb Mount Meru, followed by drive back in Arusha city or Moshi.

(C) MOUNTAIN KILIMANJARO CLIMBING.
- Marangu route
The Marangu route is the most popular route up the mountain, and is infect probably followed by ninety percent of all climbers. It has a well defined path, which has been well set out and where most obstacles have been modified to make them climber friendly. Accommodation on the route is in purpose built mountain huts providing adequate shelter and even bottled water, beer and soft drinks, chocolates are also sold all camps of the entire .All your equipments and supplies and supplies are pottered and a cook prepare all your meals.
(I). ITINERARY FOR MARANGU ROUTE
Day 1: MARANGU GATE TO MANDARA HUT (2715M).
The drive from Moshi to the Kilimanjaro national park gate takes about 50km on rough route. The journey passes through the village of Marangu, which is located on the lower slopes of the mountain. Once you reach the park gate, all hikers are requested to sign in the park office and make their final preparations for the climb. Porters will be seen arranging and loading their packs containing food, water, cooking, gas as well as most of your lunch pack and extra clothing with you, as the porters ascend a lot quicker than hikers. Our guides will be available to assist with any additional information or needs you might have. You now leave the park gate and ascend ridge trail through the rain forest. The forest covered with mist and soaked with beards of moss. It is also where most of Kilimanjaro animals are found.
An alternative and more scenic parallel forest trail branches off to the left a few minutes after the gate. This trail follows the edge of a stream through the undergrowth and offers you the option to rejoin the main trail either after 1.5 hours hiking, or 1 hour before Mandara hut. Today you will overnight at Mandara hut in hut.
Day 2: MANDARA HUT (271M) TO HOTOMBO HUT (3705M).
From Mandara hut the trail passes through a short widen of forest, skirts the base of Maundi crater and then emerges into the evolution from rain forest to highlands. It is well worth a short diversion to mix up the rim of the Maundi crater for your first really impressive view of the Kibo crater. On a clear day, Kibo will shine in the distance, showing off her majestic glaciers in the morning sun. Once you are in the open moorland you will get the chance to see some of Kilimanjaro most incredible plants-the endemic giant lobelia which grows up to 3m in height and the giant groundsel, which can reach heights of 5m .After about 6hours trek from here , you reach the Horombo hut, take shower, rest an evening meal and overnight stay.
Day 3: HOROMBO HUT (3705M) ACCLIMATIZATION DAY.
Horombo hut is a village of huts perched on a small plateau, with buildings similar to Mandara but with a total capacity of 120 climbers.Horombo is normally busy with hikers, guides and porters, with an atmosphere of adventure and excitement. You will meet both ascending and descending hikers here. Today you will overnight her for a full acclimatization.
Day 4: HOROMBO HUT (3705) – KIBO HUT (4730).
After breakfast, continue to ascend into the alpine desert habitat. From Horombo there two tracks to Saddle (which refers to the area located between the peak of Mawenzi and Kibo).There is an upper route (right hand) and lower route (left hand) to choose from. The upper route should be very familiar as you will have climbed most of it the previous day, towards Mawenzi hut. This section is very stony and eroded. The recommended lower route is much easier and nearly an hour shorter and it also passes the last watering point at 4130m.You will have to fill your water bottles with all the water you will need until your return to Horombo hut in two night time .Once again remember to slow down and drink enough water. Ibo hut is situated in the barren alpine desert, a stone build block house which has bunk beds for 60
Climbers, but no streams with water nearby. It is however possible to buy mineral water and soft drinks at the camp office. There are platform toilets behind the hut. The summit is now a further 1195m up and you will make your final ascend the same night. Prepare your equipment, ski – stick and thermal clothing for your summit bid. This should include the replacement of your headlamp and camera batteries and make sure you have a spare set available as well. To prevent freezing it will be wise to carry your water in a thermal flask. Go to bed at around 1900hrs and try to get as much rest and sleep as possible.
Day 5: KIBO HUT (4730) TO UHURU PEAK (5895).
Hiking time is 7 to 8 hours to reach Uhuru peak, 6-8hrs to descend to Horombo distance, approximately5.4km ascend and 15km descend habitat. Stone screed and ice capped summit. You will rise around 2320hrs, and after some tea and biscuits you shuffle off into the night and this where the going really gets tough. The first section of the trail consists of a rocky path to the Hans Meyer cave (5150), also a good resting spot. The path then zigzags up to Gillman’s point (5681) , which is located on the crater rim. This section is very steep with a lot of stone screed, requiring a great physical and mental effort. It is probably the most demanding section of the entire route. Do the Kilimanjaro shuffle and move slowly. From Gillman’s point you will normally encounter snow all the way up to Uluru peak (5895) the highest point in Africa.
Day 6: HOROMBO HUT TO MARANGU GATE.
After breakfast, continue to descend passing the Mandara hut, down to the Marangu gate. It is strongly recommended not to pay your porter any tips until you and all your gears have reached the gate safely. At Marangu gate you sign your name and details in a register .This is also where successful climber(s ) receives their summit certificates. Those climbers who reached Gilman’s point receives gold certificate. After that, drive back town for a long overdue hot shower .Dinner and merriment and overnight at the lodge in Moshi town or Arusha city.
(Ii). ITINERARY FOR 7 DAYS MACHAME ROUTE.
Machame route is a one day longer on trek, climbing a natural, rather than manmade path, the Machame route is a more demanding but much quieter and scenic route up the mountain. Overnight will be spent camp sites in tents, which are carried and pitched by the accompanying porters. Highlights of this route are Shira plateau, Barranco wall and the Karanga valley reaching the summit via Stella point. Because this route is more taxing it is recommended that Trekkers should be physically fit and with the addition day on trek to assist with acclimatization there is a good chance to reaching the summit.
Day 1: ARUSHA/ MOSHI – MACHAME GATE.
From Arusha/ Moshi, drive to Machame gate for whiskey route. After the Kilimanjaro national park entrance and mountain climbing formalities, start hiking through montane forest carpeted with accepted with exceptional busy of flowers, begonias and fens, possibly you can spot black and white Colobus monkey. Hike for 5-6 hours is recommended to reach at Machame campsite (3000mt) for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2; MACHAME GATE TO SHIRA CAMPSITE.
Early morning breakfast, followed by hiking to shira campsite. This day you continue from Machame camp site through the fine open moorland zone, shira cave at 3850m. you may spot herds of Eland here and there are fascinating geographical features in the old volcanic caldera which can be viewed at half an hour. The walk takes 4-5 hours to reach at Shira campsite for Dinner and overnight in huts.
Day 3: SHIRA CAMPSITE -BARANCO CAMPSITE.
Early morning breakfast, and then depart for Baranco camp site, climb towards the main park of Kibo hill with the western glaciers across the rough high altitude desert of volcanic rocks and stones. It’s a long walk but a very photogenic, one with the snowy summit of Kilimanjaro a constant looming presence a head. Most people say that this is their favorite’s part of walk. Descend into the sheltered valley for mid –way camp at 3950m, and it will take 6-7 hours walking. Dinner and overnight stay at Baranco campsite in tent.
Day 4: BARANCO CAMPSITE TO KARANGA CAMPSITE.
Morning after hot breakfast, proceed to Karanga camp site. Even though it is a short day of only 3 hours or so, built in to make sure that you are fully rested and relaxed ready for tomorrow hectic. Continue passing the steep Baranco wall with some areas of very scrambling and drop down again to Karanga valley where you get hot lunch at Karanga camp site. After lunch walk a bit for acclimatization. Dinner and overnight at Karanga campsite.
Day 5: KARANGA CAMP SITE TO BARAFU CAMPSITE.
After a hearty breakfast, you will say good bye to the Karanga camp site, hiking to Barafu hut 4600 m for 2-3 hours, here a fantastic view across to Mawenzi peak. Dinner and overnight at Barafu campsite.
Day 6: BARAFU CAMP SITE – UHURU PEAK TO MWEKA CAMP SITE.
Mid night, after refreshing tea with lunch cookies, climbing the steep ice covered rocks to stella point 5-6 hours, take pictures for 10 -15minute, and then prolong to uhuru peak passing through crater rim for 3 hrs, and arrival at the top of Africa uhuru peak (5895) .Congratulations, celebration and taking pictures for 30 minutes .After that start descending to Barafu campsite for 3hrs.This is a long hard way, but feel absolutely delighted when you have done it. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Mweka camp site.
Day 7: MWEKA CAMPSITE – ARUSHA/ MOSHI/ AIR PORT.
Morning lake breakfast, followed by descending for 4- 5hours, through the forest to Mweka gate (depend on the personal fitness). Collect your certificate and meet our driver and vehicle to return you back Arusha/Moshi/Kilimanjaro international air port depend at your choice.
(Iii) UMBWE ROUTE.
Umbwe route is a fairly steep route starting on the southern side of the amount at umbwe gate; it is a recommended route for the very fit or practiced trekkers. Steep forest path give way to health and moorland before becoming rocky and where the trek becomes more demanding approach to the summit via Barafu and stella points with the descend being via Mweka.
Day 1: UMBWE GATE TO FOREST CAMP (2850).
The climb starts from Umbwe gate (1800). The path follows a ridge between two deep valleys up through the dense montane forest to the camp. There is no water available at the campsite, so you must carry from the gate.
Day 2: UMBWE CAVE TO BARANCO CAMP (3935).
The pass gets steeper on this section as you get out of the forest along the umbwe ridge; the route descends slightly to the Barranco campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: BARRANCO CAMPSITE TO KARANGA CAMP (4000).
Continue in a steep climb up the eastern wall leads you just below the helm glacier where you may have some spectacular view of Kilimanjaro .You then take a steep exit up the great Barranco wall, which divides you from the southern slopes of Kibo. The pass continues down into the alpine desert of the Karanga valley. Finally you get a steep climb up to Karanga campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: KARANGA CAMPSITE TO BARAFU CAMPSITE (4600M).
Proceed with a steep climb of the Karanga and easy path on compacted screed with a wide view through the empty and dry landscape up to Barafu campsite. The two peak of Kibo and Mawenzi can be seen from here. Stay at the campsite for preparation of final ascend before and early morning summit walk.
Day 5: BARAFU CAMPSITE TO SUMMIT TO MWEKA CAMPSITE.
Wake up midnight in the cover of darkness for beginning a steep climb over loose volcanic screed has some well –graded zig- zag and a slow but steady pace will take you to the rim of the main crater. Proceed to stella point (5735).You can rest here for a few minutes to enjoy the sunrise over Mawenzi, then continue to Uhuru peak (5895) which is the highest point in Africa. After a few minutes to appreciate your accomplishment, you start descending to Barafu campsite there you stop for some refreshment, and the continue descending to Mweka campsite for your night stay and dinner.
Day 6: MWEKA CAMPSITE TO MWEKA GATE.
Continue walking from Mweka campsite to Mweka gate it will take you 2hours descending through the rain forest to Mweka gate, there successful climbers will receive their certificates. After that go on and drop off to your prediction place.
(IV) RONGAI ROUTE.
This is the fast gaining in popularity and is considered to be one of the easiest routes up to the mountain. It is the only route starting from the North sides of the mountain at Rongai village close to the Kenya border.The climb conditions are drier on the Northern side of the mountain and there are spectacular sweeping views over the broad flat of Maasai lands. Overnight will be in tents, the summit is reached vea the east side of the Kibo hut and the descend is via the Marangu route.
Day 1: RONGAI TO SIMBA CAMP.
You take a ride to Marangu to complete the necessary registration formalities before transferring to Rongai.The climb begins from Nale Moru (6400ft) on a small path those winds through fields of maize and potatoes before entering a pine forest. The tracks then start to climb consistently, but gently through an attractive forest that shelters a variety of wildlife, including Colubus monkey. These monkeys are black with a long cape of white hair and a flowing white tail. The forest begins to thin out at the edge of the moorland zone. Then you take in the expansive view over the Kenyan plains as you arrive at the first campsite at Rongai one camp (8,500ft) (3-4 hours walking).
Day 2: RONGAI ONE CAMP TO RONGAI SECOND CAVE.
Across the moorland on a smaller path towards the jugged peaks of Mawenzi the campsite is in a shelter valley. The morning walk is a steady ascend up to the second cave (11,300 ft) with superb view of Kibo and the Eastern Ice field on the rim. After lunch, you leave the main trail and strike out and head south east decorated with giant senesces near Kikelewa cave (11,800ft) (6-7hours walking).
Day 3: RONGAI – KIKELELWA CAVE.
A short but steep climb is rewarded by superb all around view and a tangible sense of wildness. You leave vegetation behind shortly before reaching the next camp at Mawenzi tarn (14,200ft), spectacular situated in a cirque directly beneath the towering spires of Mawenzi. The afternoon will be free to rest or explore the surrounding area as an aid to acclimatization (3-4 hours walking).
Day 4: KIKELELWA CAVE – MAWENZI TARN.
You have an additional day to acclimatize .You explore the area with a walk up onto the saddle towards camel’s bacj.You return back to camp at Mawenzi tarn ( 14,200ft ) ( 2-3hours walk).
Day 5: MAWENZI TARN TO KIBO HUT.
You cross the lunar desert of the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo to reach Kibo hut (15,400ft) at the bottom of the crater wall. The remainder of the day is spent resting in preparation for an early morning final ascent (5-6hours walking).
Day 6: KIBO HUT TO SUMMIT TO HOROMBO HUT.
You start the final and most demanding part of the climb by torchlight around1:00 am, you tread wearily very slowly in the darkness on a switchback follow through free volcanic acreed to reach the crater at Gillman’s point (18,600ft), you rest here for a short time to enjoy the impressive sunrise over Mawenzi.Those who are still feeling strong can make the three hours trip to uhuru peak (19,345ft) passing close to the amazing glaciers and ice cliffs that still occupy most of the top area. The descend to Kibo hut (15,400ft) is surprisingly fast and after some refreshments, you continue the descend to Horombo huts.(12,200ft) (11-15 hours walk).
Day 7: HOROMBO HUT – MARANGU GATE.
A steady descent takes you down through moorland to Mandara huts ( 8,900ft ),you then continue descending through lovely lush forest on a good path to the Kilimanjaro national park gate at Marangu ( 6,000ft ), where you are transferred back to Hotels in Moshi /.
Day 8: DEPARTURE DAY.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro international airport for a flight back home.
(v) SHIRA ROUTE.
Shira route is amazing scenic route that approaches Kilimanjaro Mountain from the west. You drive through a rich, lush rain forest until you arrive at the ridge of the Shira plateau, where an expedition begins. You trek across an alpine plateau and traverse the great southern ice field, before summiting from Barafu hut. The Shira route is ideal for those with back packing experience and those seeking a more challenging adventure.
Day 1: ARRIVAL EITHER ARUCHA CITY OR MOSHI TOWN.
On arrival to any selected place either Arusha city or Moshi town, you will be gathered with pre –climb briefing and equipments check.
Day 2: SHIRA ONE (3550M) – SIMBA CAMP,
You will take a ride to Londorossi National park gate for complete of the necessary climb registration formalities, before driving a short distance on a steep track through farmland and plantation (9,200ft), and then continue climbing steadily on foot through shrubs and stands of giant straight to reach the rim of Shira plateau (11,000ft) .The view across the surrounding plains open up as you approach the first camp Simba camp.
Day 3: SIMBA CAMP – KARANGA CAMPSITE. (4,000) (5-6 hours walk).
A steep descent into the bottom of Barranco valley (12,800 ft) leads you to the famed Barranco wall and its steep climb .At the top the undulating tralcrosses the flanks of Kibo with superb visitor of the southern ice field. The terrain is volcanic screed with pockets of vegetation in shelter hollows, and a powerful sense of mountain wildness. Your next camp is at Karanga campsite (13,100 ft) the last water point on the approach to the summit.
Day 4: KARANGA CAMPSITE TO BARAFU CAMPSITE. (4,600m) (3-4 hours walking).
Today you start by following an easy path on the compacted screed with wide views that gains altitude unrelentingly to reach Barafu hut (14,800ft) for lunch. There is a short acclimatization hike to the plateau at the bottom of the southern valley (15,700ft). The rest of a day is spent in preparation for an early morning final ascent.
Day 5: BARAFU CAMPSITE TO MWEKA FOREST CAMP (3100m) (13 -15 hours walk).
You will start hiking to ascend by torchlight at about 1: 00 am, so that you can be up on the crater rim by sunrise. The steep climb over loose volcanic screed has some well graded zig zags and a slow but steady pace will take you to Stella point (5,735m) in about five or six hours. You will have to rest there for a short time to enjoy the sunrise over Mawenzi. Those who are still feeling strong can make the two hours walk around. From there proceed through the crater rim to Uhuru peak (5896m),passing close to an incredible glaciers and ice cliffs that still occupy most of the summit area. The descend to Barafu is surprisingly fast, and after some refreshment, you continue to descend to reach your final Mweka forest camp.
Day 6: MWEKA FOREST CAMP TO MWEKA GATE (1,650m) (3 -4 hours walking).
A sustained descends through the lovely forest with lush undergrowth takes you to Mweka national park gate. The car will be there to transfer you to your preference stay/Kilimanjaro international airport.
TOUR 4: USAMBARA MOUNTAIN AND TANGA CITY.
Usambara Mountains situated in the North – east of Tanzania, with their wide views, cool climate winding path and pictures queue village. The Usambara’s are one of Tanzania highlights .Usambara;s part of ancients; eastern Arch chain which mountains stretch a broken crescent from the Taita hills in the southern Kenya down to Morogoro and the southern highlands. Their estimated to be at least 100 million years ago and the rocks forming them as much as 600 million years old. The mountains are homes to an exceptional assortment of plants and animals and represent one of the highest degrees of biodiversity on the continent. The habituations of the Usambara’s goes back at least 1.5 million years .Traces which are unique in world history were found near Mombo and still can be seen,
Day 1: ARUSHA/MOSHI TO LUSHOTO (3hours drive).
Morning depart from Arusha or Moshi to Lushoto west Usambara, where you will arrive in the early afternoon for lunch. After lunch, depart for evening walk or drive to Irete view point and Irete farm is option. The farmers’ produce many types of fruits and vegetables. Back for dinner and overnight stay in Lushoto guest house on full board.
Day 2: LUSHOTO – MAGAMBA FOREST MALINDI VILLAGE (4-6 hours walking).
Morning breakfast followed by walking to Magamba rainforest, visit an old stanch dug by the German during World War 1, the guide will provide an explanation of German and British colonial history. Proceed with walking through rain forest of Magamba via Lukozi village to Malindi village.
Dinner and overnight at Lushoto executive Lodge on full board.
Day 3: MALINDI VILLAGE TO RANGWI VILLAGE (4-6hours walking).
Breakfast in the morning, and then walk along the valley and sloping hillside of the inner Usambara Mountain passing by the vegetable farms lined with eucalyptus and banana trees. You will pass through the Makonge village and Kagulio; continue to Rangwi, where you will rest for bird and dinner at Eco lodge on full board.
Day 4: RANGWI TO MTAE VILLAGE (4-5 hours walking).
After breakfast walk to Mtae via Sunga village and through Shengayu forest, on the way you will see Mamboleo village, these village are well known for their soil conservation and traditional irrigation project which concentrate on the development of stone and bench terraces to improve farming, thorough explanation by your guide on how people of Shambaa tribe living in the area do keep their surrounding environment.
Dinner and overnight at Mombo view Eco lodge on full board.
Day 5: LUSHOTO – TANGA/ KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
Morning after breakfast you depart to any place of your decision.
